Leonardo Hotels & Resorts is further expanding its footprint in the Greek hotel market with the addition of another property in Halkidiki. The new adults-only resort, MERAVIA, Leonardo Limited Edition, previously known as Cora Resort & Spa, has opened following a €45 million investment.
The property began operating on May 1 and is already posting strong occupancy on 188 rooms, including 34 suites with private pools, according to company executives. The resort also created 150 new jobs.
Part of a broader regional strategy
The investment fits into the wider growth plan of the Israeli-owned Fattal Hotel Group, which has operated in Greece and Cyprus since 2017 and now manages 13 hotels in total: five in Greece and eight in Cyprus.
Management’s target is to expand the network to 16 hotels by the end of 2026, with a strategy focused on extending the tourist season from April through November. That model is already in use in Cyprus.
More than €150 million invested in Greece
Fattal Hotel Group has invested more than €150 million in Greece so far through Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean. Its current Greek portfolio includes the NYX Esperia Palace Hotel Athens on Stadiou Street with 212 rooms and suites, and the NYX Hotel Thessaloniki with 130 rooms, which opened on September 1, 2025. Also, the renovated Leonardo Hotel Rhodes has already increased capacity from 112 to 144 rooms after a €3.5 million upgrade.
