PPC Blue has secured up to €3.42 million in EU Connecting Europe Facility funding for its BlueRoute 4E project. The initiative will install 106 fast and hyper-fast EV charging points across 34 locations in Greece and Romania.
The chargers include 98 units at minimum 150 kW for light vehicles and 8 at 350 kW for heavy-duty trucks, positioned within 3 km of TEN-T corridors for 24/7 access. Sites will have accessibility features for reduced-mobility users.
Green corridor expansion
BlueRoute 4E builds on the prior Blue Route 3E project, aiming to link Eastern Europe into the EU alternative fuels network. PPC’s Chief E-Mobility Officer Miltiades Babilis called it a step toward climate-neutral transport.
PPC Blue Romania GM Andreea-Dana Popescu highlighted the focus on reliable, high-power stations to make EV travel seamless for users and freight operators. The funding supports EU decarbonization goals via expanded charging infrastructure.
