Backed by a major investment from the Vivartia Group, Jackaroo is launching three new stores in Athens and Thessaloniki, plus a mobile food truck aimed at the event and festival circuit.
The company is opening its newest store on June 20 in Agia Paraskevi, followed by another at Panormou Metro Station by the end of the month. Another addition is Jackaroo’s first-ever location in Thessaloniki, at the iconic corner of Mitropoleos and Agias Sofias, a 250 m² space that formerly hosted the Terkenlis patisserie for 25 years.
Since March 31, Vivartia, one of Greece’s largest food conglomerates, owned by CVC Capital Partners. has acquired a 60% majority stake in Jackaroo in a deal reportedly worth EUR 10 million. Founder Michalis Mantzouranis retains 40% and remains in charge of day-to-day operations.
Global records on Wolt
According to DoorDash (parent company of Wolt), Jackaroo’s Kypseli store ranks #1 worldwide in terms of repeat orders, outperforming venues in the U.S., Latvia, and Kazakhstan.
Even more impressively, Jackaroo has set the global record on Wolt for the most daily delivery orders at a single store: 1,704 orders in one day, not including takeaway, dine-in, or orders from other platforms.
