Shifting travel trends among Greek consumers
According to Revolut’s inaugural Global Travel Spending Report, Greek travelers are increasingly exploring long-haul destinations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, moving away from traditional European hotspots.
Leading this trend is the 25–34 age group, accounting for 37% of all international travel spending in 2024. Countries such as Japan (+45%), South Korea (+45%), and Vietnam (+42%) saw the highest spending growth in this demographic.
Meanwhile, destinations like Morocco (+38%) and Egypt (+38%) have emerged as popular choices for budget-conscious travelers seeking authentic experiences. This shift highlights a growing preference for affordable yet experience-rich travel to emerging regions.
