Eureka Group, a household and personal care products company, closed 2024 with a surge in sales and profitability, while unveiling an ambitious three-year investment plan centered on expanding its insecticide brand Aroxol across Eastern Europe.
The group, which includes Eureka Hellas S.A., its Cyprus-based subsidiary Eureka Ltd. (57.14%), with further holdings in Zoulama Holdings Limited (Cyprus) and Interstar CHIM S.A. (Romania), continues to strengthen its regional footprint. Much of the group’s production is based in Romania, while commercial operations are concentrated in both Cyprus and Greece.
Double-digit growth in sales and profits
Consolidated sales reached €72.81 million in 2024, up 10% year-on-year, while the parent company posted revenues of €34.39 million, also up 10%. Gross profit surged by 18% to €29.16 million, lifting the consolidated gross margin to 40% from 37.2% in 2023 — a gain driven by lower raw material costs and optimized production formulas.
EBITDA climbed to €9.72 million with a margin of 13.4%, compared to 11.8% the prior year. Pre-tax profits rose to €7.24 million, while net income reached €6.16 million, up nearly €2 million.
A key milestone came in April 2025, when an Athens court cleared the company’s mortgage obligations on its Volos industrial facilities, enhancing financial flexibility and paving the way for new investments.
Aroxol as export ambassador
The group’s strategic roadmap aims to make Aroxol, which already commands leading market shares in Greece, Cyprus, and Romania, the company’s “export ambassador” to Eastern European markets.
Annual investments of €2–2.5 million are planned to upgrade production facilities in Volos and Bucharest, while the company actively seeks new land plots to support expansion. Eureka today operates in more than 20 international markets, holding strong brand positions in bleach, detergents, disinfectants, and cleaning products.
Founded in 1959 in Famagusta, Cyprus, by Xanthos Sarris, Eureka has evolved from a small bleach producer into a multinational group. The group’s workforce grew to 462 employees in 2024, with payroll costs totaling €13.82 million.
