Lidl has reopened its fully renovated store in Gerakas, on 100-102 Marathonos Avenue, following an investment of €4.2 million aimed at upgrading customer experience, technology and sustainability infrastructure.

The renewed store has a sales area of 1,302 sqm and combines conventional checkout capacity with a significantly expanded self-service offer. The project is part of Lidl Greece’s ongoing investment programme in modernising its store network.

13 checkout points, including nine self check-outs

Lidl Gerakas store now operates with four traditional checkouts and nine self check-out points, giving customers a total of 13 payment stations. The supermarket also includes a complete Bake Off section, offering fresh bakery and dough products throughout the day.

The site provides 137 parking spaces, together with a dedicated covered area for shopping carts. Lidl also added six electric vehicle charging spaces as part of the store’s sustainability infrastructure. A dedicated recycling area has been created outside the store.
