Coca-Cola Three Epsilon moved four crates of soft drinks every second last year in Greece, delivering 128.6 million cases in 2025, a 1.3% volume increase, and posting net sales of €740.1 million, up 3% from €719.1 million in 2024.
Cost of goods sold rose 6% to €505 million, almost double the pace of sales growth, squeezing gross margin from 33.7% to 31.8%. Operating profit (EBIT) dropped 22.5% to €50 million, while net profit after tax fell 14.5% to €34.7 million.
Investments rise, focus on Schimatari
Capital expenditure jumped 29% to €43.9 million from €34 million, with the Schimatari plant at the centre of the investment programme. The facility includes an aluminium-can line running at 100,000 cans per hour, powered exclusively by renewable energy.
The group also increased funding by €350,000 for its Greek Research and Development Centre, which drives innovation for brands such as Amita, Frulite, Avra and Tsakiris Chips.
Zero debt, but lower cash
The company ended 2025 with zero bank debt, maintaining one of its key financial strengths. However, cash reserves fell sharply to €52.3 million from €101.8 million in 2024, reflecting higher investments and large distributions to shareholders and employees.
Strong start to 2026 and headcount growth
Early 2026 data shows Greece is now among the group’s top mature markets, with high single-digit volume growth in the first quarter. Carbonated soft drinks are particularly strong, led by Coke Zero and adult sparkling drinks, while energy drinks and coffee are growing at double-digit rates.
Group CEO Zoran Bogdanovic told analysts in May that the target for 2026 is 6–7% organic revenue growth and 7–10% organic EBIT growth, with Greece playing a key role. CEO Svetoslav-Marinov Atanasov points to a favourable macro environment, noting unemployment fell to 7.5% in December 2025 from 9.4% a year earlier, supporting consumer spending.
The average number of employees rose to 1,733 full-time equivalents from 1,686 in 2024. Total staff cost was €86 million, up from €85.4 million, with wages accounting for €62.9 million.
