Lidl unveils €1.5M revamped store in Athens as part of network modernization plan

In a move aligned with its strategic roadmap to modernize retail operations across Greece, Lidl inaugurated its fully renovated store on Thivon Street in Rentis. The relaunch follows an investment exceeding €1.5 million.

The updated store spans 977 square meters and features a suite of technological and functional upgrades. According to a company statement, the renovation prioritizes innovation, energy efficiency, and customer-centric service.

Among the key improvements is a next-generation refrigeration and cooling systems, designed to enhance energy efficiency and maintain product freshness.

Lidl Rentis features a new parking control system, four self-checkout registers, complementing three traditional ones, and comprehensive electromechanical enhancements.

Customers will benefit from 65 on-site parking spaces, and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Two chargers are currently operational, with plans to double that number in the near future.
