Interamerican introduces Anytime brand to the Romanian market

Interamerican, a major insurer in Greece and Cyprus and part of the Dutch financial group Achmea, has launched its digital insurance brand Anytime in Romania. It is the company first foray into the Romanian market, part of a broader strategy to expand Achmea’s digital insurance footprint in CEE.

Anytime Romania debuts with RCA (compulsory motor third-party liability) policies and plans to expand its product offering to include CASCO and other insurance products in the near future.

The Romanian launch follows the brand’s success in Greece and Cyprus, where Anytime holds a market share of over 45% in digital insurance. The model is built around an entirely digital experience, offering policies directly to consumers via online channels.

According to the company, the model focuses on affordability, speed, and ease of use, aiming to meet rising consumer expectations in a market that has seen growing demand for digital financial services.

Interamerican, with gross written premiums of €495 million, is one of Greece’s largest insurers and has over four decades of experience in health and general insurance.

Its parent company, Achmea, writes nearly €25 billion in premiums annually and has operations across Europe, including in the Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia, and Turkey.
