Ruby has officially announced its entry into the Greek hospitality market with the development of a new Lean Luxury hotel in the heart of Athens.
Set just off Omonia Square, one of the city’s most historically rich and revitalized districts, the 114-room hotel is expected to open in 2027, marking a key milestone in Ruby’s Southern European expansion.
The project is being developed in collaboration with Primetown Development, a long-time Ruby partner. The hotel will be located at 7 Agiou Konstantinou Street, steps from the Omonia metro station and close to major city attractions such as the Acropolis, Plaka, and Syntagma Square.
Ruby’s Athens hotel will reflect the group’s hallmark Lean Luxury philosophy – offering elevated design, premium experiences, and streamlined service. Plans include a 24/7 bar, a dedicated breakfast area on the ground floor, a fifth-floor terrace with an outdoor bar and pool, and a rooftop on the ninth floor.
Following IHG Hotels & Resorts’ acquisition of the Ruby brand in February 2025, the Athens hotel will join IHG’s premium lifestyle portfolio. IHG’s rapidly growing presence in Greece now includes 10 open and pipeline hotels across key business and leisure destinations including Thessaloniki and Crete.
