Athens International Airport (AIA) capped another banner year in 2025, handling a record 34 million passengers, up 6.7% from 2024, as total revenues and other income edged 1.5% higher to €675.6 million.
Adjusted EBITDA came in at €394.9 million (58.5% margin, -7% YoY), while net profit after tax landed at €207.3 million, down 12.1% amid the exhaustion of deferred tax assets, partially offset by aviation capital gains.
Traffic growth outpaced Europe’s mega-airports, with international passengers up 8.6% and domestic +2.2%, fuelling aeronautical and commercial revenues despite regulatory charge tweaks.
Capex surged to €161 million from €33 million, advancing the Airport Expansion Programme: multi-storey parking and northwest apron under construction, while tendering for Main Terminal Building and Satellite Terminal Building extensions nears award in H2 2026.
AIA will propose a gross dividend of €0.66 per share (€204.9 million total) to the AGM, rewarding shareholders as the airport eyes capacity for 50 million annual passengers by decade’s end.
