Anytime, the digital insurance brand of Interamerican Group, is acquiring the motor and property insurance portfolio of Gan Direct Insurance in Cyprus, a market where it already holds a share of more than 45%.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and completion of the required legal procedures. Gan Direct will continue operating with a stronger focus on specialized and higher-value insurance services.
Gan Direct brings more than 30 years of local market presence
Gan Direct Insurance was the first direct insurance company in Cyprus and has operated in the local market for more than three decades. Under the transaction, its motor and property insurance book will be transferred to Anytime, which will integrate the portfolio into its existing digital insurance operation in Cyprus.
Yiannis Kantoros, CEO of Interamerican Group, said the acquisition is part of the group’s strategy to strengthen Anytime as a regional digital insurance player and to increase its scale in Cyprus.
Anytime serves more than 600,000 customers across three markets
Anytime is the digital insurance brand of Interamerican, part of Dutch insurance group Achmea, and currently operates in Greece, Cyprus and Romania. The brand has a market share of more than 45% in both Greece and Cyprus, and serves a combined customer base of more than 600,000 people across its markets.
Interamerican exceeds €500 million in gross written premiums
Interamerican, the parent company behind Anytime, generates more than €500 million in gross written premiumsand is one of the major insurance groups in Greece. The company has operated for 57 years and is part of Achmea.
Achmea, one of the largest insurance groups in the Netherlands, reports €24.8 billion in gross written premiums and operates across several European markets, including Greece, Germany, Türkiye and Slovakia.
